This easy homemade spaghetti is one of those dinners I fall back on when I’m tired but still want a real, comforting meal on the table. It’s simple, cozy, and made with my homemade roasted tomato sauce for the best flavor without any chunks.
If you’re like me and don’t love chunky spaghetti, this version stays smooth and family-friendly — but I’ve included notes at the bottom if you prefer a chunkier sauce or want to switch things up.
If you enjoy smooth, cozy meals like this, you might also love my Keto Chicken Soup, another go-to when I want real food without fuss.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, but recommended)
- 3–4 cups my Homemade Pasta Sauce (or enough to fully coat the meat)
- Palmini noodles for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until fully browned, breaking it up as finely as possible for a smooth texture. - Season
Sprinkle in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir well so the seasoning coats the meat evenly. - Add richness
Stir in the butter and Worcestershire sauce. Let it melt completely into the beef for extra depth and flavor. - Add the sauce
Pour in your homemade tomato sauce. Stir to combine and reduce heat to low. - Simmer
Let the spaghetti sauce simmer gently for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This helps the flavors blend and keeps the sauce smooth. - Serve
Serve hot over your favorite noodles or keto-friendly alternatives.
If you want to turn this into a full comfort-food dinner, serve it with a slice of my Homemade Keto Bread. It’s especially delicious dressed up as garlic bread with butter, garlic, and melted parmesan and mozzarella on top.
Optional Notes & Variations
If You Like Chunky Spaghetti
If chunky sauce is your thing, you can:
- Sauté ½ chopped onion and 1–2 cloves of minced garlic in olive oil first
- Add the ground beef and cook as usual
- Season, then add the sauce
👉 For a smoother finish, you can blend the sauce after simmering.
Extra Flavor Boosts (Optional)
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes for gentle heat
- 1–2 tbsp heavy cream for a slightly creamy, smooth sauce
- Extra olive oil if using very lean beef
- Swap ½ lb beef for Italian sausage for richer flavor
Serve over zucchini noodles, spaghetti squash, or palmini. Palmini is my favorite alternative noodle!
Pair with Keto Cheesy Bread or a simple side salad
This sauce reheats beautifully and tastes even better the next day — perfect for meal prep
