Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Steam the frozen green beans according to package directions. Drain well and place them into a 9×13 casserole dish.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the diced onion and garlic and sauté for 3–4 minutes, until translucent and fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for 4–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter has melted, stir in the heavy whipping cream and cream cheese.
  6. Add the onion & herb seasoning, along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir and cook until the cream cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Pour the creamy mushroom sauce over the green beans and gently mix until everything is evenly coated.
  8. Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil, sprinkle the top with shredded Parmesan cheese, and return to the oven. Bake uncovered until the cheese is fully melted and lightly golden.
